What is Climate Smart Agriculture?
Climate smart agriculture is the practice of crop farming and animal rearing that is sustainable, increases yields, reduces greenhouse gas emission and enables our country to achieve national food security.
What all this means, is that the Kenyan government is working on ways to make sure we produce food in a way that is good for the environment, and also ensures there is enough food for everyone.
This platform is created specifically to avail climate action tools, lessons and concepts that children (ages 8 to 18) and young people can use to help combat climate change through climate smart agriculture.
We have formed a strategic partnership with the Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Program (KCSAP), the 4-K Clubs of Kenya and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives.
This initiative would not be successful were it not for the creation of the Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Strategy, which can be viewed here.
